Music Lesson Rates & Policy
Effective September 2021
Boonsboro & Martinsburg Studios
Tuition:
Our tuition varies for each studio. Rates are listed below. There are no refunds on tuition payment and no credit for missed lessons (with the exception of instructor illness). Non-payment or late payment of lessons can result in termination of lessons. The instructor reserves the right to cancel lessons at anytime.
Lessons are purchased in one-month blocks of four (4) 45 minute sessions per month at $240.00 per month due at the last lesson prior to the new month.
An annual enrollment fee in the amount of $100.00 is due in January. (Boonsboro Studio only)
Lessons beginning in an incomplete month are pro-rated at $60 per 45 minutes. Please pay in cash or check to your teacher, Mike Miller.
Attendance:
Your lesson time, teacher and studio space are reserved for you each week and you are responsible for attendance at all lessons. Make sure to schedule other activities around your music lessons! Tuition is not credited for missed lessons.
No credit is given for inclement weather.
I continue lessons even in the summer months.
The studio is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years day and July 4th. All other holidays the studio is open.
Illness:
We regret that sometimes a student may become ill and will not be able to attend a lesson. Unfortunately, that leaves the time slot/studio vacant and the lesson cannot be credited. Boonsboro studio students may schedule a makeup lesson (subject to the instructors availability). Please be considerate of yourself and others and do not come to your lesson seriously ill.
Boonsboro Studio:
If the Instructor misses a lesson due to sickness, a make up lesson will be scheduled.
Lesson Practice:
Consistant practice may be challenging at times, but is an important part in the success of learning to play an instrument. Our students are required to practice at least 60 minutes per week. Additional practice time is always encouraged! A practice sheet "calendar" is provided to help keep track of your time.
Terminating Lessons:
30 days notice must be given if you are terminating lessons. There are no refunds after tuition and enrollment fee have been paid.
The instructor reserves the right to change policy & rates at any time.
